You completely disregard the impact of MSM, and the lack of responsibility or accountability in a political system that allows major politicians to lie with impunity. £350m to the NHS anyone?
Blaming the electorate for this mess when there is a strong argument that a reason we are where we are is that the propaganda machines are beginning to fail and rational informed choice is beginning to rise to conflict with the traditional wishes of the media.
We are living in a broken society. It is grossly demeaning to blame the electorate for the mess successive irresponsible politicians with their pet media (or is it the other way around) have lead us to. A return to two party politics? What do you believe the referendum result, given its closeness, actually gave May a mandate to do?

I have many many criticisms of the May premiership but not sure calling an election is one of them, although you do feel that after the fixed term parliament act there is certainly something fairly juicy about her making a dogs dinner of it all.

Thoughts on the potential result of an Autumn election or indeed a Spring one? Collapse of Ukip but how much of labour's gains were for solid and lasting reasons?

Given such an interesting result I do have to conclude that I think you haven't exactly picked the juiciest points to pick up on.

Always look forward to the follow up post

An ex-student.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
