Tory Sleaze
Could there be more Tory sleaze stories still to come out in the wash? Certainly, Politics Home is reporting that the media have gained a renewed appetite for such items, and that Lord Ashcroft, amongst others, can expect a higher profile coverage. On the other hand, with Mandelson back in government, they could still turn the media spotlight back onto him.....

Surprise, surprise, the narrative and momentum is slowly creeping back to the Labour Party, and Giles isn't blogging...
No doubt researching for a bumper post on Tory Economic Policy - can't wait!
I just like the fact that every time I check this page to see if Giles has blogged, the headline is still "Tory sleaze". It seems so right!

"Tory Sleaze"
"The Osborne Affair"
"Too Little Comfort for Cameron"
"George Osborne's Difficulty"

"In a shock announcement, the former chairman of the Tory Reform Group has renounced all forms of capitalism in favour of Orthodox Marxism. He preached for the end of Grammar Schools, the abolition of the Monarchy, as well as unilateral disarmament and withdrawal from NATO. Giles gave his announcement at a conference for Lower 6th politics classes, which included the socialist Tony Benn, who Giles has since branded "a revisionist" and an "upper-class bastard who was bought off by the CIA long ago". Giles was last seen with a copy of the Morning Star and Das Kapital on a boat towards North Korea."
Which explains the lack of blogging of late. Not too much of that going on in N Korea.
Always good to read that New Labour's tame capitalists can still spew out a healthy dose of fantasy! You're hilarious, both of you....I hear there's a Saturday night Radio 2 show that's looking for a new presenter...
Let's just hope the three of us never actually meet together - best to keep the socialist friendships separate I think!
