Andrew Sullivan has posted a thought provoking comment on his blog this Ash Wednesday, from Reinhold Niebuhr's "An Interpretation of Christian Ethics". It acts as a refreshing splash of cold water on the faces of anyone who is wondering whether the mainstream churches are beginning to make themselves look a little foolish over some of their moral campaigns.
